Brewerkz

05 February 2010

Some people tell me they like the beer from Brewerkz, and their idea of a good chill-out night would be one just outside along the Clarke Quay river with a nice cold beer in hand and with pleasant company in tow. This time round there wasn't much beer on the table but at least I had good dinner company with me. Food here is pretty decent but for what you get you can probably say it's slightly on the high side too.

Buffalo Wings

My friends liked the buffalo wings but I thought they were pretty ordinary actually. In fact I thought there was an overdose on the colouring too.

Wagyu Burger

When I saw that the Wagyu Burger was on the day's special, you know that there was no way I would miss out on this surely. The spiced steakhouse fries were a welcome addition too. Most importantly, the beef patty was packed nicely and it was good quality beef, but my only grouse would be the cheese, which I suspect could be blue cheese because of the smell. Not really a fan of blue cheese and so I tried my best to wipe a bit of it away, and also because I wanted the full beef flavour from the patty. I'm such a carnivore I know.

Crabmeat Linguine

I've always had this impression that crabmeat linguine needs to be of a red or orange hue and so I was surprised to see this green-coloured pasta instead on the table. Gerald insisted it tastes better than it looks.

Shepherd's Pie

Justin and Siying both had shepherd's pies, and while they thought it was alright they didn't think it was anything impressive either.
