When Elaine told me about Milca and it's Hokkaido-based milk ice-cream, I made a mental note to myself that I should try it one day. It was only three days later when I found myself right here at Milca, going through the menu with some curiosity. I had brought my friend, LianChiu, along with me, partly because she loves her ice-cream and partly too because she's been to Hokkaido and I wanted to know her take on Milca.
LianChiu chose her favourite "Houjicha" sauce, which I learnt was a type of Japanese green tea flavour. She let me have a taste of her ice-cream and I thought it was quite good and refreshing actually, something I would definitely order next time. For the time being I stuck to the hot chocolate sauce, which was well, just chocolate, but the main highlight has to be the smooth, milky and sweet soft-serve ice-cream. It's delicious. The cone meanwhile was very light, it breaks apart at the gentlest of nibbles, but who cares, I was just enjoying the ice-cream :)
Many thanks too to Elaine for the splendid recommendation!
